One of 2018's greatest inventions? The jade roller.
If you've been living under a rock (excuse the pun), a jade roller is a nifty little device you roll across your face, which promises to stimulate blood circulation and lymphatic drainage.
It also works to reduce puffiness around the eyes, soothe the nervous system, absorb negative energy, even skin tone and tighten pores. Jade is a healing stone and a symbol of purity and tranquillity, which is why people are incorporating it into their beauty regimes.
Clearly people can't get enough of the crystal's beauty benefits; you can now snap up a comb made from the luxe rock.
According to Allure, the ancient Chinese health ritual, which is also known as 'combing therapy', helps stimulate the scalp and induce hair growth.
"Since all of the meridians in the body have either direct or indirect connections with the head, scalp and brain, stimulating the scalp can have global effects on the body’s health by regulating the meridians,” hairstylist, Naté Bova of New York City’s Warren Tricomi Salon, told the publication.
"Combing massages all of the acupoints of the head, which regulates excitement and inhibition in of the cerebral cortex. So regulating your body’s meridians can be good for your overall health and can be achieved by this combing technique.”
Sadly for anyone hoping to get their zen on, it won't come cheap. A single comb at Sephora could set you back over £100.
