OK, I know I say this a lot, but I’ve fallen in love with yet another beauty product. While I’m a little late to the game when it comes to this beloved drugstore gem, the L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer has completely stolen my heart while helping me stick to my budget (which is yet another plus!). I’ve tested a bunch of concealers in my day, but none have made me fall quite as hard and quite as fast as this one—and I’m extremely picky about my makeup.
The concealer is available in 43 shades total, which include some for actual concealing, some for colour-correcting, and even a few highlighters (which I definitely plan on buying next). Its consistency is definitely full-coverage — usually covering my dark spots and under-eye circles in a single pass — but it doesn’t feel that way, which is part of what won me over. Somehow, the concealer is creamy and lightweight, but still manages to effectively Photoshop all of the discolouration on my face like it never existed.
Since it’s designed with a brush applicator tip, I can blend the product on my face straight out of the tube, making it easy to pull off the no makeup-makeup look when I’m running late or really don’t feel like wearing foundation. But for days when I do feel like wearing foundation, the applicator helps my concealer blend in so smoothly that I barely have to use my Beauty Blender afterwards. After I set it with powder, the concealer stays put all day—from my morning train ride until I’m ready to double-cleanse in my bathroom at home.
This concealer is the stuff of dreams (come true), and I’m so glad that we finally found each other after all these years. Who said good makeup had to be expensive? And since this product is just £3.99, I won’t feel guilty running back to Amazon to scoop up a new tube once I run out — which will probably be tomorrow.
