THE HYPE

Lash Perfect has established itself as one of the world’s leading suppliers of eyelash treatments and brow services and now they’re venturing into the world of skincare.

The brand is hoping to change the game of salon and home eye treatments courtesy of the new iRevive Microcurrent Anti-Ageing Gel Patches, which feature unique technology to brighten and eliminate puffy eyes and dark circles in less than 30 minutes. Said to be inspired by Asian beauty rituals, the product stimulates the skin around the eye area, banishing puffiness and promoting collagen and elastin synthesis, smoothing the eye contour and softening fine lines and wrinkles.

BEAUTY BIO

Tired eyes have long been a universal beauty despair and I am but another victim. If I were an animal, I would definitely be a panda - not only because I’m soft and cuddly but because I have major dark circles. It’s surprising because I am ALWAYS sleeping, no matter how busy I am, I have to take my afternoon nap to function so it never fails to amaze me that I have such prominent dark circles. I am ready to try anything to get rid of them and get bright under eyes (without concealer) for even 24 hours.

THE REVIEW

Dark circles can be caused by genetics, poor circulation, and, of course, your lifestyle choices. In the case of genetics, it can be caused by a type of hyperpigmentation in your skin, while lifestyle choices such as not enough sleep, stress, dehydration, dietary factors, alcohol, and allergies are contributors to dull under-eyes.

If your eyes need a wake-me-up because you're hungover or just sleep-deprived, you need eye patches in your life. A few minutes of wearing one of these patches banishes puffiness, fine lines, and dark circles. They are exactly what you need to look fresh and awake, even if you don't feel like it on the inside.

First impressions: the physical packaging was quite minimal and ordinary, nothing new or creative and there was no fragrance of any sort. As instructed, I cleansed my skin and applied the clear, thin under-eye patches to my bags for exactly 30 minutes. The physical patches themselves have a light, gel consistency and stuck snugly on my face. The patches felt comfortable and I experienced absolutely no irritation whatsoever. I waited in anticipation, and finally revealed my dark circles which were not so dark anymore. The product certainly did brighten and depuff, I felt happier with my skin than usual but I didn’t notice any drastic change as my dark circles were still visible and for £55, I would expect more.

THE VERDICT

Everyone’s skin is different, so this might work better for you than it did for me. However, a cheaper alternative would be going old school and using cucumbers or the good old cold spoon under the eye trick instead.
