Sandra Annette Bullock is an Academy Award winning American actress and producer. Born in Virginia, USA, Sandra's mother was a German opera singer and her father an American voice coach. Sandra lived in Germany until she was 12 years old, travelling frequently due to her mother's profession. Sandra went to High School in Virginia and University in North Carolina, though she left University in her last year to pursue acting, moving to Manhattan. After small successes in New York, Sandra moved to LA in 1989. Her first notable role was in Demolition Man, 1993, alongside Sylvester Stallone. Her breakout role came one year later, however, with Speed, starring herself and Keanu Reeves. In the following years, she went on to star in some tremendously successful films, such as While You Were Sleeping and Miss Congeniality, and some less successful ones, such as Speed 2, Miss Congeniality 2 and The Lake House. After receiving high praise for her supporting role in 2004's Crash, Sandra received her first large bout of critical acclaim with her role in The Blind Side in 2009. Sandra won various awards, including a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Golden Globe and an Academy Award. In the past, she has dated Matthew McConaughey and Ryan Gosling, but her most publicized relationship was her marriage to motorcycle builder Jesse James. The two married in 2005, but sadly separated and divorced shortly after Sandra's Oscar win, after affairs on Jesse's part were revealed. Sandra has since adopted a baby boy born in New Orleans, Louis Bardo Bullock, as a single parent. In 2012, she was named by the Guinness Book Of Records as the world's highest-paid actress, reportedly earning $56 million.
